What are your general comments?
I have to admit that UCSF used to be my 1st choice dental school, but after this interview I think I'd pick another California school. I too bought into the hype, but after seeing the outdated facilities and talking to students I definitely changed my mind.

How did you prepare for the interview?
Looked at the UCSF website, read over my application, and the SDN.
What impressed you positively?
The many opportunities in research the school had. Also, the school is pretty cheap even though tuition sky rocketed last year.
What impressed you negatively?
The students seem to be pretty smug and unhappy. The overall feeling I got during my interview day was a depressed surrounding.
My interviewer was nowhere to be found and even admitted to me that he almost forgot he had an interview to give.
The buildings and facilities are old. Very unorganized looking school.
What did you wish you had known ahead of time?
That the interview was going to be unorganized and you I was going to spend most of my time waiting.
