I really liked the structure of the program and faculty interests matched mine, but the psychoanalytic orientation of the program seemed to overwhelm every aspect of the interview day and information about the program, left without a good feeling...

What is one of the specific questions they asked you?
Something about, most people go into psychology because of their own psychological issues so how can you explain the effect yours have had on your decision to pursue a career in psych?
What impressed you positively?
Nothing at all really, except getting out in DC
What impressed you negatively?
Coldness of staff, faculty's attempt at psychoanalyzing me during the interview, faculty putting down my previous research experience, lack of any tour or information session, unavailability of staff for discussions before and after interviews...
What did you wish you had known ahead of time?
That the interviews would make me feel like I was on trial, and that other people's interviewers would be much better than the people I got :(
