Read articles. Not a lot of time to prepare because I was given last-minute notice to fly out. Wasted $1000 on a plane ticket. Well, I guess it made me appreciate other schools more.
What was the most difficult question?
I was asked to give my impressions of the professor's data (which had never been published) on the spot.
The administrative people are very pleasant. Other than that, the fact that they are able to attract any graduate students at all.
What impressed you negatively?
One professor said, ''I like research that makes good conversation at cocktail parties.'' Another said that all of the students hate the program. All of them?? Yes, all of them.
What did you wish you had known ahead of time?
I guess it would have been good to know that all of the students hate it there! Incredible.
