How did you know you were a compassionate human being? Who fostered those traits in you? What experiences have you had that show your humanism?
How did you prepare for the interview?
SDN, re-read secondary essays (I would definitely recommend this), lots of research on Duke
What was the most difficult question?
If you had unlimited money, and resources, what world problem would you work to solve and how would you do it?
What impressed you positively?
Everything. Seriously. This school is stellar. Great research opportunities, the innovative curriculum seems very effective, friendly and happy students, small class size, clean/updated facilities, awesome residency matching, financial aid is generous, cost of living, the campus looks like Hogwarts.
What impressed you negatively?
Only Durham. I am from a larger, metropolitan area. If I were lucky enough to go here, it'd be a big adjustment.
What did you wish you had known ahead of time?
All of the applicants on my day got out by 2 PM so I should have booked an earlier flight.
