✅ Interview Preparation and Impressions

How is the friendliness of the admissions office?

7 out of 10

How is the responsiveness of the admissions office?

7 out of 10

How did you prepare for the interview?

Read POI's articles, research program.

What impressed you positively?

Everyone was incredibly nice. Graduate students seemed happy.

What impressed you negatively?

Program did not seem nearly as research oriented as they portray themselves online. POI has no current grant activity. Clinical training seems good, but there is no overview of specific orientations or learning of specific treatment protocols. Students are supposed to find a therapy system that "resonates" with them, which seems hokey and ineffective to me.

What did you wish you had known ahead of time?

Funding is incredibly poor compared to similar programs.

What are your general comments?

I can see how some people would be very happy there, but it is not the program for me.

What are your suggestions for the admissions office?
