✅ Interview Preparation and Impressions

How is the friendliness of the admissions office?

3 out of 10

How is the responsiveness of the admissions office?

2 out of 10

How did you prepare for the interview?

Prep for combination behavioral and traditional. That doesn't quite match, but it is close.

What impressed you positively?

Very concerned with speeding up process so students could leave pre-snowstorm.

What impressed you negatively?

no student Q&A, no financial aid discussion, did not get to meet faculty or get much of a feel of the student body, just the one student ambassador per group. I think I might have gotten more info if the schedule had not been condensed due to weather. Plus the whole thing with the new interview format--I definitely did not know what to expect. I felt the whole thing was kind of poorly organized. I felt like a number rather than a person.

What did you wish you had known ahead of time?

I wish I had known more about the new interview format. I got conflicting information from the main adcom and the emails.

What are your general comments?

Whenever I asked questions in the months after I applied, I felt that the answers were not helpful. The main adcom gave conflicting info about the format compared w/ invite and web info.

What are your suggestions for the admissions office?

Confirm that all materials are in before deadlines. Answer questions about new interview process clearly.
