✅ Interview Preparation and Impressions

How is the friendliness of the admissions office?

7 out of 10

How is the responsiveness of the admissions office?

7 out of 10

How did you prepare for the interview?

SDN, reviewed TMDSAS, browsed UTHSCSA website.

What impressed you positively?

Opportunity to have more hands-on experience during clerkships by doing rotations in Harlingen.

What impressed you negatively?

Facilities were old, interview day was unorganized.

What did you wish you had known ahead of time?

That there would be a LOT of walking (the campus is pretty large)

What are your general comments?

Grew up in Texas, so not really eager to stay here. With that said, I ended up liking UTHSCSA a lot more than I expected. However, I will probably sacrifice the cheap(er) tuition to go somewhere out-of-state.

What are your suggestions for the admissions office?

Revamp interview day. It's too unorganized, impersonal, etc.
