💬 Interview Process

What is one of the specific questions they asked you?

Is this your first choice school?

What was the most interesting question?

Do you know how to adjust a carburetor? I felt good about this - it showed the interviewer had read my application essay.

How did you prepare for the interview?

Read the school website, a book on interviewing, and this website. I also picked three current pharmacy issues and studied up. I went to the interview with notes - a list of questions, and printouts of the faculty bios. It impressed my faculty interviewer that I knew something about him. I also bought a suit, because business attire was specified. I was glad I did this. A few people were dressed a little too casually, and they were the ones with their heads down.

What was the most difficult question?

Your background is unconventional for pharmacy. How do you know you would succeed here?

What impressed you positively?

I've visited the school three times, and each time, I meet students who are friendly and excited to be there. It's nice to see the enthusiasm.

What impressed you negatively?

Well, the neighborhood is funky, but I live nearby, and I already knew about this.
