How is the responsiveness of the admissions office?

How did you prepare for the interview?

Re-read AADSAS application and supplemental, SDN, looked through Penn's website

What impressed you positively?

Very laid back and relaxed environment. Interviewers weren't trying to give you tricky questions or make you squirm. They just wanted to get to know you and make sure that Penn is the right school for you.

What impressed you negatively?

Nothing. One of my interviewers was very talkative but I enjoyed it because she was talking about a program at UPenn that I was really interested in.

What did you wish you had known ahead of time?

I didn't realize that there was a closed-file interview. Also, the guideline of 30 minutes seems really short--most of my interviews ended up being closer to 45 minutes.

What are your general comments?

There are 2 interviews with one being an open-file interview and the other being closed-file. Interviewers are interested in getting to know you so just relax and enjoy your conversation with them!

What are your suggestions for the admissions office?

Make it more clear that you are only corresponding via mail. Some of my fellow pre-dents had no idea that they got an interview invitation until weeks after it was sent.
