What do you like most about this school?

"Friendly and collaborative environment, innovative and dynamic curriculum." | Report Response

"The curriculum is innovative" | Report Response

"Curriculum design is dynamic and innovative, ensuring students get exposure to all pertinent systems twice in a step-wise fashion. There is camaraderie between faculty and students that is friendly, cordial , and nurturing." | Report Response

"The curriculum is very strong. This is a good school to learn in and become a great physician." | Report Response

"The class shares a lot of stuff with each other. The current president/CEO/chair of board (Dr. Weaver) has an open door policy. Anyone can go in and talk with him. It's great. I also love the cafeteria food. Certain professors (Dr. Johnston & Friedlander) are so awesome intelligent that it blows your mind. Some of our professors actually write the questions for the boards. Score 1 and the other community projects are great learning experiences. You learn how to do exams and apply it in the real world soon (first few months of med school)." | Report Response

"The atmosphere. It's the students who go here that make me LOVE this school. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. Second years go out of their way to tutor the first years and third years even come into class when they can to give us heads up on boards." | Report Response

What do you like least about this school?

"Nothing." | Report Response

"The osteopathic portion of the education is undergoing many changes and frankly we don't get a great understanding of the material and our test do not represent what we were taught" | Report Response

"Clinical rotations are quite variable in terms of types of exposure, availability of didactics, and scheduling. These inconsistencies are concerning." | Report Response

"I did not like that the grades are all distributed on a bell curve and also that there has been a lot of faculty turnover and the students are not told the reasons why." | Report Response

"Some of the professors are really busy." | Report Response

"The administration is very badly organized. Each branch of the admin doesn't really communicate with the rest and that makes dealing with them a big pain. they don't get information about rotations or other big events out until the day before which is always irritating." | Report Response

Please provide any other general comments on your school

"Good place to get a strong education and do well on both the COMLEX and USMLE. Most students at KCUMB to into alliopathic residencies but many also go in to very competitive osteopathic residencies." | Report Response

"I love how the unofficial dorms (Century Towers) is right across from the school. The current president is working really hard to maintain our tuition or decrease the tuition." | Report Response

"The systems based curriculum makes understanding the information presented a little more manageable (which in med school is saying a lot). I can't imagine doing it any other way. The teachers are also here for the students and you can tell they actually care about teaching! The school also claims to be very traditional as far as a dress code and mandatory class attendance, but in reality they don't enforce any of it except no jeans. It makes life much easier and i know plenty of kids who don't go to class at all." | Report Response
