The University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, established in 1900, is the state's sole institution conferring the Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree. Located in Oklahoma City, it operates within the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. The college has approximately 650 students enrolled in its M.D. program, with an entering class size that increased from 150 to 165 in 2006.
