Pre-clinical curriculum is pretty average in my opinion. Not board focused. Clinical rotations are hit or miss in terms of what you're allowed to do and the teaching you receive.

Quite a mix of very old and very new. Parts of the med school itself feel pretty old but they are making efforts to renovate some parts currently.
How do students from this program do after graduation - are they adequately prepared for practice?

They tend to match well -- above what one's step score might be predict.
What are rotations like?

7 core clerkships (Psych, Neuro, Medicine, Surgery, Family med, Peds, OB/Gyn) and 3 required Sub-Internships in the 4th year (Medicine, Ambulatory, Critical Care or Surgical). Not much outpatient exposure if assigned to the Birmingham campus. Also very heavy on the specialty and subspecialty exposure and minimal primary care/bread & butter type exposure. If you want more primary care and on-one-one teaching then a branch campus for clinical years is your best bet.
