They take boards after the first year (although will be done away with after ADA switches to one set of boards-2013)." More from this Member | Report Response

"Everyone was so nice and they just recently finished a 3 year rennovation to the entire facility... very nice! Also, every dental school needs a Glenda because she is an awesome lady." More from this Member | Report Response

"Friendly and laid-back" More from this Member | Report Response

"Friendly staff, quality of the students...and, of course, the new electric toothbrush!" More from this Member | Report Response

"The interaction of faculty (especially Dr. Vogt)with the students, the recently renovated facility, the Oral B professional care toothbrush, and lunch with D1 students." More from this Member | Report Response

"Very informative tour and presentation. Also, loved getting to go to lunch with some of the current students without the interviewers present." More from this Member | Report Response

"Everything. The facilities are undergoing a large-scale rennovation, but the end result will be very nice. The faculty and students were incredibly nice and made me feel right at home. Every student raved about the school and had no negative words to say. They also continually rank at the top of the nation in test scores." More from this Member | Report Response

"Everything--has a small class size, first part of Boards after the first year, friendly faculty, etc. The interview was laid back, yet everyone present was very attentive. Gracious, accessible faculty and staff." More from this Member | Report Response

"The staff were all really nice, and the students love being there. They also treat you to a free buffet lunch at Valentinos, and gave the interviewees Braun electric toothbrushes. " More from this Member | Report Response

"Very friendly atmosphere, students seemed enthusiastic. They take Nat'l Boards part 1 after 1st year to get it out of the way" More from this Member | Report Response

"Every student we past by seemed happy to be there and they had great interaction with the faculty." More from this Member | Report Response

"Class size, curriculum (NDBE I after D1), graduation rates (1 person in last 10 years did not graduate)." More from this Member | Report Response

"Everybody was so happy. All the administrators were extremely personal. U. Col. we didn't even get to meet any of the staff except for a few panelists." More from this Member | Report Response

"In-state tuition for out of staters, football atmosphere, location, boards after first year" More from this Member | Report Response

"recently updated labs" More from this Member | Report Response

"The head of admissions gives a 60 minute power point presentation on the many benefits of the school. He answered every question that I came with during teh presentation. It showed that they really wanted to give students all the information they wanted to know. Clinic just got remodeled. According to UNMC they have had the highest (or 2nd highest) average gpa in the nation for entering freshmen for the past 8 years. In the top ten in nation for scores on boards 1 & 2." More from this Member | Report Response

"They make you feel very important and wanted. The students like it there. It seems like the staff and students get along well. " More from this Member | Report Response

"I was really impressed. They do well on boards, and the students really like it there. Also, they are renovating the labs so everything will be new in two years. Plus, nonresidents get resident tuition from day one. Not a bad deal. Also a small class size limited to 40-45 students. And of course Nebraska football." More from this Member | Report Response

"The people and the curriculum, as well as how well their graduates do on the boards and liscensure exams" More from this Member | Report Response

"The facilities were older, but still nice. The faculty was great and so were the current students. " More from this Member | Report Response

"The upperclass students seemed really happy with their preparation. " More from this Member | Report Response

What impressed you negatively?

"Age of facilities" More from this Member | Report Response

"There was no chance to talk about yourself during the interview. You were given 2 minutes to read a scenario and 4 minutes to answer it. That was it. There were 3 stations, each with 2 interviewers and 2 questions. Also, some of the interviewers just stared blankly as I answered the questions, while others at least smiled and nodded." More from this Member | Report Response

"Not much" More from this Member | Report Response

"The antagonistic interview style" More from this Member | Report Response

"Lincoln" More from this Member | Report Response

"Students and faculty didn't seem to have a good relationship. My interview may have been a good reflection of faculty attitudes. " More from this Member | Report Response

What did you wish you had known ahead of time?

"It was closed file" More from this Member | Report Response

"That they don't give as large of OOS scholarships as they used to" More from this Member | Report Response

"I wish I knew that Nebraska residents get priority, followed by student from states that do not have dental schools. I am neither of those, unfortunately, although I love the school." More from this Member | Report Response

"That the staff and interviewers will make you feel at ease the whole day" More from this Member | Report Response

"The science teachers for freshman students are mostly PhDs and not dentists. " More from this Member | Report Response

"All out of state students are given an automatic scholarship neutralizing the difference between in and out of state tuition" More from this Member | Report Response

"You don't have to cut your own cadavers in anatomy. This takes a bunch of time out of studying/lab work." More from this Member | Report Response

"Nothing, the place was great. 7 interviews and I honestly thought this was my best place ahead of Case, U Col, Ohio St, Oregon, U. Pacific, U Conn, and Washington...Nebraska beat them all believe it or not." More from this Member | Report Response

"I wish they told me that I would be given the tour w/5 other students and that the interview only lasts about 15 minutes." More from this Member | Report Response

"Not much" More from this Member | Report Response

"nothing" More from this Member | Report Response

"I didn't have to study up so much about UNMC on my own, they tell you EVERYTHING you ever would want to know about the school in a presentation before the interview." More from this Member | Report Response

"How great a school Nebraska is. You would be a fool not to at least check it out. Also resident tuition scholarships for all non-residents accepted." More from this Member | Report Response

"Great school from the curriculum, students, and faculty" More from this Member | Report Response

"Great school, awesome class size, Lincoln is a nice town" More from this Member | Report Response

"It was very short (about 20 mins) but the visit to the school took 1/2 a day while they answered questions, provided a tour, took me out to lunch, etc." More from this Member | Report Response

"I had high gpa and DAT scores so I think they definitely went easy on me in the interview." More from this Member | Report Response
