Good camaraderie, only 1 or 2 gunners in my class and everyone shares their notes.

What do you like least about this school?

Location is rough since it is a small town. It can play to a benefit since it keeps you focused on studying. Needs to switch to a systems based curriculum.

Overall, it provides a great medical education and prepares you well to be a physician.

Mandatory attendance first semester of first year. After that, classes are optional, but some courses do have unannounced quizzes to benefit students that attend, although several students will just do the quizzes at home after hearing from a friend. OMM lab is mandatory every Wednesday for 4 hours both years.

Our class performs a lot of volunteer work in the community. For fun, people mainly hang out at each other's homes and do weekend trips out of town fairly often.

The school is ranked by US World News for rural medicine and is also ranked as one of the highest producing schools in terms of primary care physicians.

It isn't super well known around the country, but most programs know of the school around the region and believe it produces well rounded physicians.
