What motivates you to become a doctor?
What was the most interesting question?
If an 8 year old boy came into the hospital and needed medical attention immediately and the mother of the 8 year boy only spoke Spanish and she was frightened once you came out with a big needle, what would you do?
How did you prepare for the interview?
Read Duke's website, study interview questions from school, and relaxed
What was the most difficult question?
What actions outside of community service and anything listed on your application show your altruistic nature?
What impressed you positively?
I did not find one student that was unhappy. That impressed me. Also, Duke appreciates diversity in its student body which is a plus.
What impressed you negatively?
I attended a first year lecture where everyone in the classroom was on the computer chatting on Instant Messenger and playing poker.
What did you wish you had known ahead of time?
The interviews are scheduled in the afternoon after all the days activities. It was a long day.
