What are your general comments?

When I arrived to the interview I was taken into a conference room. We had breakfast and had a chance to get to know everyone (the other interviewees...there were about 11 other people there). Then the dean came and talked to us...he was incredibly laid back and funny which was very nice! Then we broke into groups, where half of us went for our interview and the other half were given time to walk around campus. After that we were given a in-depth tour of the dental school. Then we had lunch and after lunch the people who hadnt interviewed earlier had thier interviews. This whole day was very relaxed and organized!

What impressed you positively?

how relaxed the faculty and students were. The interview was very well organized and it was very laid back. The faculty and students were very approachable! I was very nervous before the interview, however, after about a half hour of being there I was completely relaxed. Also the school is beautiful!

What impressed you negatively?

The pre-clinic lab and lecture rooms are in the basement. Which seem to be a common thing among dental schools.

What did you wish you had known ahead of time?

Although this is an ivy league school, the staff and students are very very laid back and that I didnt need to be so nervous before hand. Also, if you are flying to upenn, then make sure to call a shuttle ahead of time to take you to and from the airport in philly. The shuttle is a lot cheaper than taking a cab!
