Not often. They would like us to attend class, but it is never required. However, we do have small group sessions that count towards our Biochem component grades and ECM small groups sessions are graded based on attendance.

None, but some are helpful.

Depends on the person. Some classmates purchase all "required" books, some don't. But I guarantee you will not have time to read books in med school. The packets given to you are usually sufficient.
