The location is not that bad, Just stay close to the school. I like the idea that you gain good hands on experience on clinical procedures. Hoewever, specializing is pretty difficult at this school. Their board scores are at about average since they have no faculty teaching the students on material necessary to pass the boards with high scores. The campus is nice and flat. Not too much walking.
💬 Interview Process
What is one of the specific questions they asked you?
The area is not that bad. I know the east side is ghetto, but the school surrounding was not equivalent to the horror stories I have heard. The orthodontics facility was very new. Your first year is realxed.
What impressed you negatively?
The fact that you have to pay about 60 gran a year to study on your own. I talked to several students and they said the way they survive is by relying on their older classmates helping them out. NO FACULTY AT THIS SCHOOL! The board scores were about 86%, which for the price you pay is pretty B.S.
What did you wish you had known ahead of time?
They had not even double checked that I had taken a biology course, and so I got a stupid letter saying that I had not finished one of my requirements. I told them later that I had finished the course two years ago.
