Lottery (not as bad as it sounds) Required 4 weeks of family/outpatient internal clinic, neuro, psych, EM in m4 6 weeks ob (2 labor and delivery, 2 surgery and 2 clinic) 8 weeks internal medicine (4 at rush 4 at stroger) surgery and peds

Overall job is to learn, accomplished by carrying patients and playing active role on team including writing notes that are cosigned

What is the status/condition of the affiliated hospital(s)?

New Rush tower is gorgeous. The older part is still nice. Cook County is less nice/new but still clean and kept up.

What is the typical patient population medical students work with?

Rush has a mix of the upper class/insured and charity care. County is a county, largely uninsured and immigrant populations
