"I first got interviewed by a faculty member who wrote down everything I said and didn't seem to be all that interested in doing the interview. Then I went on a tour of the building and then to the clinic. The clinic is way better than SUNY's even though it looks like it belongs in the 70s. Then my exit interview, lunch, and financial aid. The lady who did my exit interview was really distracted and was like since you are interviewing so early and the committee doesn't meet this early, it will take 4-6 weeks to hear back. I was really impressed that the school allows you to do 5 externships for 1 and a half years, which is a lot more than most schools. They also make sure that you get to do an externship at each type of practice, (group, group w/MD, VA, private) so you can figure out which one you like best. Also, PCO's first year courses include way more credits than any other school's first year because they need to make time for the externships. I don't know if its better to get everything over with early or if its a lot of unecessary stress." Report Response
