I want to get a residency in family medicine. With my scores, 210(step1), 200 (step 2 CK) I think rural programs will be better as they are less competitive according to my understanding. Anybody has info regarding how picky program directors are when it comes to scores. Thanks!

I have heard of residents completing residency in family medicine and making their way into internal medicine residency. What my question is once you have completed fam med residency how many years do you practice as a family physician before applying for a residency in IM? And what do medicine...
It doesn't matter what color it is. Only the function matters. Mine is the Littman Classic S.E . During clinicals you don't even need the fancy ones, cheaper ones are good enough. Littmans are known for quality and long term use.
Thanks. I really appreciate the help. Its a big reassurance to hear that. I prefer programs within the Northeast, but at this point i can't be choosy. Have you heard of people matching with similar scores in the northeast? Although, I have no problem with going elsewhere in the country.
So i recieved my step 2 CK score today and its not what I wanted. In fact it is worse than step 1. I have no idea what went wrong. According to uworld i should have got a 219 but instead I ended up with this

Step 1 210/88
