Alright... I got the official acceptance email this evening. My start date is listed as 9/6, which is the date my contract was countersigned. Yay, and good luck to everybody that's riding this rollercoaster.

There is an electronic signature below mine, last name King, title: "OFAM Approver, HRSA". It was countersigned about 12 days after I submitted it.

Go to your portal, click on the link to your contract, and scroll down to the 3rd page.

Still nothing over here. My contract appears to have countersigned over a week ago but my status is still under final review. The silence is deafening...

Don't lose hope. Seems like it would be a no-brainer for them to try to retain as many scholars as possible.

Thanks for that info, it gives me some hope. My completion date is 8/19. I'll report back if I have a similar experience.
