Long time member here, haven't posted in a while but here goes. So ABA released questions a couple of weeks before the written boards. I just finished them; got a 70% on the Basic and a 76% on the Advanced Question sets. I thought a few questions were arcane and tested some difficult knowledge...

I called a few programs today that I interviewed at, none had any "open" spots. But we'll see what happens Wednesday. There are a few scenarios out there but I'm not speculating. Lets hope for an organized and smooth process and I sincerely hope everyone gets what they want

So does anybody have a ballpark number on how many interviews one needs to be safe this year? I have a bunch but was considering not ranking a couple of programs. Would that be wise if I really didn't want to go there or should I rank them anyway to ensure getting a spot? Advice appreciated

So now that ITE is over, wanted to focus on the future and start reading on Cardiac Anesthesia before next years ITE/boards come up. Some people in my program recommend Kaplan and others recommend Hensley. Whats the consensus out there?

As much as I dont want to get into a political discussion. Even if this cartoon was fact and not opinion, not everyone is christian. Plenty of good americans out there with a different belief in god or even in the non existence of one.
