Maybe this practice has had turnover of interventional pain physicians. Maybe it's their first one and she doesn't know enough. Is this an otherwise undesirable place in the Midwest? Bad schools? Violence? Declining economy/industry? Give us a state and city. It is strange not to be speaking...

Not sure if the catheter does anything directly, but I do it like Steve above. The catheter definitely seems to make it easier to inject slowly. Sometimes I feel like injecting during patient's exhalation helps. Sent from my Pixel 4 XL using Tapatalk

You first have to decide what work setting you're looking for. Hospital pain? Private practice pain group? Interventional pain for a large Ortho group? Interventional pain for a multidisciplinary group? After that, then you can get better advice for those particular settings. Sent from my...
