I was hoping to use step 2 to study for intern year and was going to try to tak e it just before starting. My question is, is this too late? Do I have to have scores in before the start date?

I'm considering taking a year off of med school to get an MPH and I was wondering if residency programs will see my grades for that year when I apply?
