    PharmD to NP

Agree with pamac, if you could swing PA school, that would be better, but see the outdated prereqs as being an issue for sure. Accelerated BSN follow by NP/MSN program or you can do a direct entry MSN/NP program.

Another Psych NP vs PA thread (please hear me out!)

I'm a PA and worked outpatient psych doing med management for a couple years.....my opinion would be to do PMHNP route if you are certain psych is all you want to do. With your completion of a PsyD before NP school, having been an LPN, and mental health clinician, you have plenty of experience...

U of People MBA vs Quantic EMBA

I was accepted to both program. Day one of class with UofPeople I reviewed the syllabus and coursework....it was just paper, paper, paper, project, discussion board, paper, paper, paper...and so on. I don't want to do a program that is just turning in a paper week after week and discussion...

    AA Application Cycle

One would probably have to check out whatever program they want to apply to and see what the application deadline is. . .

    PA Job Outcomes

There are certainly some areas of over saturation. Mostly in states with the most PA programs. Generally I can find 2-3 dozen local job postings daily between the 3 systems in my area. For sure going into the military, post PA school, would be a guaranteed job. So, unless you are dead set on...

Research and teaching as a PA

Yes, PAs can do research and/or teach. If you really want to do research, then I would recommend going the PhD route. I'm not aware of any other combined PA/PHd program other then Wake Forest. It looks like you have to be accepted into the PhD program and then apply, and be accepeted, to the...

U of People MBA vs Quantic EMBA

Does anyone have any information comparing the two programs? I've searched old threads already. I have been accepted to both and trying to decide which one to do. U of People is $2460 and Quantic is $5500 (scholarship/discount for paying upfront). Quantic required me to do some prep courses...

Should I conceal my partner from coworkers or not?

Agree with goldchallenge, hiding this part of your life would be exhausting. There will be so many times where you are talking about your personal life with these individuals you will be spending so much time with. Just figure out who you can trust and who you should keep your personal life...

Debating on what to do... (RN/NP or Pharmd)

I would chose NP over PharmD. Less debt becoming an NP and not a big difference in pay.

PA schools that accept pharmacy tech as hce

I would recommend reaching directly out to schools you are interested in and see if that will count or not.

    Physician oversight for PA?

PAs need a supervising/collaborating physician in all states. The term "oversight" is not the best term in regard to performing these tasks. State laws very, but in most states prescribing, ordering and interpreting labs, and doing exams are all basic components to practicing as a PA. In some...

Is there a different between PA and NP in terms of employment opportunities?

A lot of this has to do with the administration. If admin is RN top heavy, then often they want to employ more NPs. Also have seen it dependent on resident's being in-house or not. One hospital had all their surgery resident's pulled out and in return hired a ton of PAs and this broke ground...

Does anybody know if the Chapman University PA program is good?

I would recommend checking out Physician Assistant Forum you are more likely to encounter someone who is attending the program or has more info on it.

    Dietitian to PA?

The final answer is up to whoever is reviewing your application. However, I do not think this will be a problem. I had a PA student a few years back who was a dietician. I think her HCE was unique and made her stand out from the typical MA/STNA/EMT. Admissions are tough and calculating what...
