The application season is coming to an end and we have either decided what school to go to or have a pretty good idea. So I'm just curious why you made the decision you did.

What's most important is that you can sit in an interview or write a personal statement and talk about experiences that demonstrate the positive qualities you are claiming to have.

Fill out financial aid stuff! They use that to decide some scholarships - if one school offers you one it may make your decision between the two easier.

It depends on the prof. Do what you would usually do if you had a question you need to talk to them about. All my letter writers had true open door policies and I walked by their office 5 times a day anyway. With an appointment you know they'll have time - if in doubt make an appointment...

On email vs hand written, email is probably better for a letter of intent that will be added to a file but for thank you's I would go with hand written. The advantage of hand written is that you can make it memorable. The last thing I want to do is blend in with every other email that person...

I think you'll be just fine. Keep the CC courses to lower level ones though. There are many people who do similar things. Doing what you think is best for your education is most important.

Live frugally. Apply for every scholarship available. Borrow as little as you can get by with but don't cut corners to the point that your studies are effected.
