Some sensible government action on insurance companies

I honestly don't really mind prior authorization for procedures for chronic pain by itself, as long as the rules are clearly spelled out of course, and I really think that if a procedure is authorized it should absolutely also be a guarantee of payment.

    How to improve procedure volume

    1. What you really need to do is get rid of your med patients. They're a time suck and only translate into intermittent procedures for the visits they take. I would recommend getting an NP/PA to see your med patients and routine follow ups so you can see more new patients and more procedure...

The prescription opioid epidemic in a nutshell

Thanks for sharing. It's nuts to me that they want to make a plant scheduled in a way it can be prescribed like medicine.

NASS vs ACGME Fellowships: Which Makes a Better Doctor in Real World?

post-operative knee pain (>1 year out)

Could also consider Curonix which is a permanent lead with less hassle than Sprint with dressing changes. Yes, you should check if the joint is unstable first. If so, needs revision. I can see how PNS works for knee pain. We do saphenous/adductor canal blocks all the time in anesthesia...

post-operative knee pain (>1 year out)

If it's just chronic knee pain despite TKA and no other problem noted (failed hardware, scar tissue, etc.), AND you want to treat this with interventions, you have only a few options. 1. Genicular NB/RF 2. PNS/DRG 3. Brace If your patient is a VIP, I'd just do the block/RF for free or at my...
