True emergencies are understandable. What irks me are the calls to "come push some propofol" for an elective prone angioplasty case or TEE/CV that won't "hold still." Wake them up and rebook with anesthesia and proper PAT.

Anesthesia $ is inflated because of locums and call coverage, both of which you can't find with pain. If you control for hours, nights, weekends, etc. an interventional-based practice sounds pretty good.

I'd like to see a source as well. Medicare states "Frequency limitation: For each covered spinal region no more than two (2) radiofrequency sessions will be reimbursed per rolling 12 months." Nothing about 6 months.
