I'm in the dental field- mainly due to career suggestions by physicians whom I shadowed in undergrad. I recall listening to their stories of how the good ole days in medicine are gone and how much BS they have to put up with nowadays, especially from insurance companies, malpractice lawsuits...

I recall reading a wall street article along with several threads on sdn claiming that gp dentists make more on average than gp meds (IM/FP). It seems to be true if we look at figures posted online (mgma vs ada). However, figures posted online for med are usually after malpractice insurances...

That's why so many of us were confused when we learned at a young age PhD's can also be called Dr. And JD's also hold a doctorate. They don't even heal.... In English we've squeezed 120980 definitions into one word-- Doctor. We would never be this confused, ever, in the Chinese language...

Your university must be very easy. Where do you attend? All colleges should be as difficult as top 25. Why does our society keep lowering its standards?
