COMP Class of 2008 part 01

No harm! I know you dudes are excited about starting medical school and getting through the next two years, however, the clinical years will be here before you know it. COMP is a good school, and you will get out of it what you put into it. I worked the system to my advantage, and I am starting...

COMP Class of 2008 part 01

Which hospitals are talking about? UW or OHSU? Doubtful! Eastmoreland ( the only DO hospital)? Closed down. OHSU and UW will only allow you to rotate in your 4th year ( for a fee and a lengthy application process).

COMP Class of 2008 part 01

You sound like a real trooper. We shall see how you feel in 2006, when you are left with lame preceptor based rotations. I am curious how this "northwest track" will turn out. Will these people actually return to the 9 months of rain per year, or will they stay in sunny socal? Additionally...

COMP Class of 2008 part 01

A class size of >200 is NOT good news. The good rotation sites in Southern California (ARMC) are already congested, and TUCOM students are taking over many of the 3rd year spots. Somebody at COMP better wake up. Hopefully, many of the students will rotate out of the state. I am so glad to be...

Poll for DO students or graduates; did you.....

You should add the category "accepted to nothing", which applies to most of the people that hit the SDN. A bunch of loser wannabes!

At least twice, circumstances conspired to deny the rightful status of John R. Lynch. The first occurred when his father's death ended the family's chance to leave slavery. The second came in 1877, when Lynch was denied a third term in Congress. His years in between convey the story of a man...

George Washington Bush was born free in Pennsylvania about 1790, but little is known about his life before 1812 when he fought in the Battle of New Orleans under the command of Andrew Jackson. After his military stint, he worked for a French fur trader headquartered in St. Louis, and later for...

If you don't like what I have to say, then don't read it. Move on to a more professional thread! Who are you to assume that my world is dismal? I am in beautiful Southern California where there are 210 different language dialects spoken. I am wearing shorts and a t-shirt and preparing to go...

Like you, I don't need affirmative action. I am a white 4th year medical student at a private university (Loma Linda) in California. My golden goose has served me very well. Loma Linda gives strong preference to adventists (without regard to race). If you think that medical schools are about...
