I agree with r90t regarding the FP's moving to fill GMO's, and I think that maybe what comes to pass with the planned privatization of many CONUS primary care billets.

Wick, Congrats - everyone who's been through MISS has had nothing but great things to say about the people & the program...the biggest hit always seems to be Jackson. One of my best friends is a 3rd year there & has had a great experience there, and one of the flight surgeons I work with...

That's a great point, however the spots from Mississippi were the "R" coded spots which are for physicians coming in as 2nd years in 2004....whether from the military, another residency, etc. "A" coded spots are PGY-2 spots in 2005, and "C" spots are PGY-1 in 2004. I wonder if these 3...

FYI I was looking on the SAEM residency catalog & it is also offering 2 PGY-1 positions at Rochester for people doing the scramble.

Log into NRMP web-site, click on "My Reports" - it'll show how many unfilled spots there are in each specialty.
