    Did my first solo foreign body removal on a dog yesterday. Rock and a nail mid jejenum. One enterotomy site that I closed with simple interrupted and an omental patch. Dog is already eating and feeling great. I'm still in denial that I did it correctly and am waiting for it to return with...

    When 5 years is reduced to the distribution of stuff and your ex SO won't even look at you or talk to you. And you hurt for them... because you don't hate them but now they hate you. It sucks, it sucks so hard

    Broke up with my SO today 4 days before our 5 year anniversary. While I know it needed to be done, in so incredibly sad because he is one of my closest friends and I've lost him forever now.

    I know, and I told them that. One of the people at the accreditation thing had been giving Rabies because it's such an obscure rule.

    FYI, the Georgia VPO told me during my USDA certification class that it was state law we wouldn't couldn't give Rabies until we were certified.

    Weird... thats what they told me. I hadn't bothered to look it up, figured my medical director wouldn't make things harder than necessary.

    Not in Georgia. It is illegal to give a Rabies vaccine in Georgia without being USDA certified.

    Glad I'm not the only one who has had to do this. I was just feeling bad because they were really busy and I couldn't do anything to help. But my license came through today so I can see patients, just can't give a Rabies because I am not USDA accredited yet

    Apparently without a license I can't do anything... so I'm following other vets around and doing technician things. It's depressing

    I love primates but just not the people who own them. I've been bit by marmosets, capuchins, vervets, spider monkeys, lemurs, and even the dreaded macaque!
