They don't. Nobody gets paid a full hourly wage for sitting at home. They certainly aren't getting $51k/week. That's $18 million a year.

Doesn't have to be docs in a lot of states to open up these clinics. CRNAs and NPs are opening them right and left, frequently along with IV hydration, semaglutide, vitamin infusions, etc.

I'd at least be The "place" is profitable - just not for anesthesia. :)

You forget - all it takes is one federal judge to issue an injunction and it all comes to a screeching halt. No court decision at that point - just a pause.

How do you get an online CME certificate that matches up with your chosen vacation destination? There's a big difference between deducting expenses for traveling to an actual CME meeting (perfectly legit) than there is doing an online CME course while you travel on your own. (totally bogus IMHO)

If I remember correctly, QZ and AD aren't billed together. The total charge can't exceed 100% of the allowable. With medical direction, it's 50:50. With medical supervision is where the 3 units +1 unit if present for induction comes in and the CRNA gets 50%. With QZ, the CRNA portion is...

We offer a few 6:45 rooms at all three of our Atlanta hospitals. At our joint center, we're there at 6am, with first spinals going in shortly after that. Thankfully I'm not on staff there. :)

That's a part timer. We use them to fill in the gaps. That's all. But you're right - even someone working 3x12 - someone has to be there at 7am the other two days.

Isn't anyone using Exparel for ISB? I had it on mine - 80hrs of relief on my shoulder scope, comparable to the catheter ISB I had with my previous shoulder scope. The only thing that sucked was getting the phrenic on both of them.
