I am fm with abps certification. It opens lots of doors and I have the paycheck and cv to prove it. It is not abem residency with all respect to my abem colleagues, but does require a 1-year fellowship and a challenging written and oral exam. I have no idea how hard it is compared to abems...

Em Fellowship and abps certification can help a family doc a job in a higher level ed. Has nothing to do with billing.
