    Residency interviews drying up?

I heard from approx. 20% of the Osteopathic residency programs I've applied to (these aren't surgical programs), and not a word from the other 80%. We're staring down the barrel of November. Should I be worried??? Or, is this normal?

    COMLEX in lieu of USMLE

Howdy all! Which Allopathic EM programs will accept COMLEX scores in lieu of USMLE? I'm trying to create a list for myself, so fire away. I did not (and will not) take the USMLE. FREIDA is sometimes less-than-clear on this issue. So, figured you guys and gals would know. Thanks.

NHSC loan forgiveness worth it financially or not???

Extremely basic financial strategy question... Because $320k in loans freaks me out!!! ... Is the NHSC student to student loan forgiveness program worth it financially for general internal medicine? Or, would I make more as a hospitalist such that the NHSC would be a poor financial decision...

KCOM - ATSU - Should have gone elsewhere

After reading most of this thread, some of which was pretty funny, and some of which was fairly disturbing, I can state that the original poster is correct, and nothing false was stated. That said, posts like these don't do us any favors for residency applications, as it taints the school's...

Bombed the MCAT after my 3rd try. Need major advice

So sorry to hear of your struggle. I know it's not easy, and I know a lot of folks who struggled on the MCAT. It matters because MCAT scores are closely correlated with Step 1 boards scores, which is why schools use it as a barometer of future success. The MCAT answers this question: "Is this...
