In hindsight, you're absolutely right. The NRMP website states "An applicant posts Match data on a website or listserv without authorization from the NRMP" constitutes a match violation. Wasn't sure how to interpret that.
I noticed UTSW seems to have a solid reputation on this forum, but when I talk to people they say "it's a really busy place, you won't have time to build an academic career, don't go there". My interest is in an academic career. What is the best advice regarding UTSW?
How many programs should I rank before I feel comfortable? I've been told if you rank ~10 programs, you should be ok. Is there a statistic on programs ranked vs. chance of matching?
I haven't been writing "thank you" emails and waiting until now to email programs back (after interviewing at several places and being able to get a sense of the programs). I heard some people email thank you's immediately and in afraid it will affect my ranking. What are your thoughts?
Several of these places have already sent invites and declines, with the exception of Mayo I believe. I think 90% have sent invites and the last few will trickle in this first week. Last year, I heard it dropped off after September 10th or so, FWIW
Just waitlisted....I didn't want to send the message to places I had already scheduled that I didn't prefer them. I think its better to select a date and stick with it or cancel...don't ask programs to move their date. You'll have to decide if you would rather wait list or cancel a prior...
Does it look poorly if I move a scheduled interview date to accommodate another interview? Otherwise, I have to wait list a program I want to interview at.
