    43rd percentile is fine - you are not in the "increased risk" group for failing boards. You're right in the middle of the pack of a very qualified and accomplished group! I think meeting all of the milestones of a surgical residency should be considered great.

    Whether you do the 4 year combined or traditional 5 year MD/MPH the school will pay for it. You have the option to apply for MPH program after ms2 or ms3 as well.

    If you are interested in research, take online stats classes! Learn SAS/STATA linear/logistic regression - will help throughout career if you're interested in academics and it helps to understand the literature.
