Big Rad Onc performing TH consults

When I applied, I checked this new page which had expected turnaround times. It was 1-2 days for medical license when I hit submit. And I got it in that timeframe. Seems they’ve done something right. It’s 9-11 now so maybe I got lucky. Still way better than other states I have which literally...

Big Rad Onc performing TH consults

I have 6+ licenses now. Some states make it unnecessarily painful. Others actually want our presence. I have a range of 6 months to 2 days (shout to FL on that one). But the best money I ever spent was getting a letter of qualification from the IMLCC. I got a notoriously tough state license...

Big Rad Onc performing TH consults

This lawsuit is BS. It's well established in Radiology that you must be licensed where the patient's scans were acquired. If all 50 states consider rendering a radiology interpretation as "practice of medicine", telling people what they cancer treatment options are is just as equally medical care.

Notably, real estate is not on that list.

    Hospital chain declares bankruptcy

This is just the Hahnemann closure at scale. The end result was inevitable once the MPT deal happened.

Which specialty has the least trainwreck studies?

The ACR is not our friend in this instance. The official ACR policy on communication will make us lose every time.

Which specialty has the least trainwreck studies?

Every specialty has it's disasters... Spine postops can be a zoo. As MAR techniques get better (MAVRICs really impress me sometimes), the painful arthroplasty will become the true MSK torture study. No longer can you just say "too much artifact" and sign report. The hardest PET is the mixed...

    What is average signing bonus?

Agree. Aside from the 2007-2017 crash, the first part of COVID was rough times.

    What is average signing bonus?

Honestly, them paying for moving or other things might be worth more since you aren't taxed on it.

    Income thread.

No one will unless we have a private forum. Radiology got hit before with CMS cuts due to forum posts.

    Nucs or MSK for fellowship

I was in PP for a couple years. Then the boomers sold to private equity. I didn't want to sign with them and subject myself to the noncompete (5 miles from every site I read for, which would lock me out of the state as they had imaging centers in every major city/town). The other PP jobs in my...

    Nucs or MSK for fellowship

I mean I’m academic these days and do either MSK or Nucs but will moonlight in abdominal / chest. When I was in PP, I did about 40% MSK, 40% nucs, 20% general/er/call. The future of radiology is multi specialty. The days of being a really good generalist and having a sort of specialty are...

    Nucs or MSK for fellowship

I did this combo. I would recommend. Chest you will be fine Body…you won’t be doing rectal or prostate mr. But the rest you may or may not know how to read. Breast: I gave that up willingly High end neuro: gave that up willingly.

Tennessee is now allowing FMG's to practice without a US residency, any chance outsourcing becomes a legit concerning for radiology now?

HCA will open one. They have been opening DR residencies in other states.

Unfortunately, we have a built in back door for these people to get board certified. Not all boards do.
