    MD vs PA

looked over the article since im interested in this. it does mention "greater effect occuring with people who switch between day and nights, while resynchronization occurs with people on a fixed night schedule" which is what i am. it mentions several areas of health with increased RR but doenst...

    MD vs PA

I sleep pretty well i just do it during the day time on a consistent schedule. I dont know if this lifestyle has any long term health effect. At 39 i do feel like my mind isnt what it was in my 20s; i dont know if its just part of getting older or something to do with the lifestyle Will find...

    Clinical Coordinators

why do they need 3rd party? they are a medical school, can they not directly connect with a mainland hospital to have rotations there? i mean US med schools dont need 3rd party to do away rotations right? how is this different

    NP to physician

the op is barely 30? hypothetically, if she prep for a year and got in, she would be ~35 when she graduates and a 3 year residency would put her at 38 she can have her kids then, at that point her husband would also be working and have financial stability/time. 38 is not an ideal age to have...

    Bipolar II in Residency

out of curiosity what kind of stuff would a psychiatrist be called for at night? and would u actually need to physically go in? ive been a night shift hospitalist for a while and i've never had to call psych in the middle of the night for anything. the ER does call the PET team for suicidal pts...

    Baller Hospitalists 2.0

i work bit less than the normal number of shifts , the day shifters working 7 on 7 off prob makes similar to me Ya the competition to live in socal is absolutely ridiculous so salary is less than a cheaper place while cost of living is much higher. If u want to enjoy life its a good place, if u...

wow ive heard of caribbean schools being predatory but i didnt know it was this bad. and sgu is one of the good ones too. sounds like GM is connected with sgu in some under the table financial deals why would this matter even require a 3rd party agency in the first place anyway

    DO’s applying to IR residency

Rads residencies are generally in more academic centers compared to IM. those same centers probably have competitive IM residencies that only want to take people who are actually going to do IM. transitional interns aren't serious about IM and neither are IM residencies about them. its just...

    MD M3 applying Neuro/IM

unless scales have changed, 240+ is 99%+ right? speaking only for IM, you'll likely be fine for the higher end academic programs. if u went for a community IM program you'll basically have pick of the litter

1 month from Match and regretting my specialty. What do I do...?

i'd also do it, but it would be to maintain my ability to work in case i need to again, not for enjoyment reasons maybe its different for surgical, u guys work so much and have to do so much more to get there, if u didnt like it who would want to go through that. i dont think any of my...

1 month from Match and regretting my specialty. What do I do...?

my question is how much can you actually "like" a job? i've been an IM hospitalist for close to 10 years, i'd say theres maybe 5% of the time i actually enjoy it, u know when u get to help the rare patient that can walk and talk and is a nice human being. rest of it are either boring...
