Penn rejection today after I emailed asking why I hadn’t heard back. Strangely though got a CHOP interview weeks ago (Med Peds applicant).

Haven’t heard from BWH or Penn yet.

My division chief alluded to something like that but I know no details. The overlap of 3 programs with essentially 2 institutions is very strange.

As a top IM program resident I'd say that you should reconsider your priorities and specialty if you're searching for easy programs. It will never be easy. Do you have children? Do you have an S/O? Perhaps there are more specific things to look into than work hours, such as support for partners...

Are there any med/peds applicants out there applying to multiple tracks within an institution, such as the Harvard programs or Colorado programs?

I don’t know of anyone else from my institution apply either. Are there any other Med Peds applicants out there? If so how are you choosing to apply to programs with both adult and pediatric tracks?
