atleast start with eliminating mid levels, nurses, naturopaths (yes- have seen these guys doing or atleast charting that they have done US guided facet/SIJ injx) etc from doing these procedures

It seems its mainly being done at academic centers, (for those patients with chronic LBP, endplate changes )they are still working out details. It was presented at SIS meeting impression they did rule out facet first, end plate modic changes type 1 or 2 exclusions - radicular pathology...

thats why the patients call it "stim cells" lol

i have a few patients with this dx, not many. Typically seen w pelvic bone graft site for spine fusion surgery. Sometimes neruoma is palpable at this location, which as noted above is different than SIJ and facet locations (more lateral across the iliac crest) I block it and then do phenol X 2 1...

seems sensible to recheck imaging if outcome are less than expects, see if something else is contributing. Have seen this with patient who have spinal stenosis however no limb pain or claudication to tip you off. SIJ is also a culprit, but do more than just "push on it " and see if it hurts...
