It has been 8 years since I have been to this forum.
I applied in 2015 but I withdrew. I was burned out and life was happening and I thought I would be ok not trying to be a doctor anymore. I was 43yo then. I am 51yo now.
I have worked in healthcare my entire life and I’m still in...
I took the MCAT in 2015. I was burned out after finishing my degree and didn’t study for it, just took it. I scored 498.
I am thinking about trying again after 8 years. It has been 8-10 years since I took the science classes and I’m not sure I remember any of it.
What do you recommend as far...
I did take the MCAT that day, burned out and with very little prep...I got a 498. I plan to retake it at some point after the virus is out of the way.

I'm waiting, too. Feeling sick and very anxious. I expect a bad score. A very bad score. I didnt prepare properly, havent taken biochem yet, and felt like I guessed on more than half of it. I already applied to 34 schools. I expect to withdraw my application tomorrow.
I finished the semester last Friday (24 credits - all science - should be all A's!!!!!!) and I am graduating 20yrs late this Friday!
I opened my app yesterday and its about half done. I'm taking the MCAT in July. I have about 8 weeks to study full time - not doing anything else - and I'm excited.
I think I am going to push MCAT back to 7/18. Not applying this year is not an option. I already delayed one year because I didnt have time to dedicate to MCAT study. I will have the summer off and can study full time. I appreciate your comment. Thank you!
I currently have my MCAT scheduled for 6/20. I am applying this cycle - MD and DO. I am at the end of a semester in which I took 24 credits and the workload is ridiculous (yes, I knew it would be). I am not studying for the MCAT during this last three weeks of school. I will have about 1 month...
If you are so inclined, Yale open courses has a great psych intro course by Paul Bloom on their site. Its well done, engaging, and definitely worth your time.
According to a rep from AAMC who spoke about MCAT2015 at a symposium I attended the Khan passages were written by the actual test writers. I will be doing them all.
I attended an event Saturday. AAMC was the key note speaker and the topic was MCAT2015. AAMC strongly encouraged students to use their materials, especially the Official Guide and Khan Academy, as she reminded everyone that no one has seen the new test yet and ONLY the materials provided by the...
Well, no one except AAMC has ever seen the test so TPR is just guessing. I think it is a mistake not to cover EVERYTHING on the outline, but I guess that's just me.
If, in fact, there will be almost no physics or ochem as everyone on these forums seems to believe and if "why bother to study...
