    Chapter 31 VR&E: Changes with the Appeal-Denial Process (2019)

Hello Everyone, I wanted to share my journey and success in appealing a VRE case with the VA, which took six long years but was ultimately fruitful. Attached, you'll find my Appeal Decision and a copy of the IWRP for reference. After winning my appeal, I initiated a congressional inquiry into...

Is 40 years old too late to start down the path of doctorhood?

Bro let's go! I am 40 and just finishing my 2nd year. I just won my appeal for Voc Rehab and can pay for my school. School is the hardest thing you will ever have to do, especially at this age (I remember when I was sharp and never got tired) but it will be amazing.

    Chapter 31 VR&E: Changes with the Appeal-Denial Process (2019)

After 5.5 years of fighting with the VA appeal process for a change to my IWRP, I have won my case. I have been approved for Physician Training. The next step is to contact the VRE and get started again after they messed up my life. But I am already in medical school, so they will have to back...

Keiser University for Undergrad and Med School Acceptance

I attended this school and it was perfect for me. As an older student who was working and raising a family, I didn't have time to play all the other games that big universities want you to do with Music, art, Speech, etc... The classes were 1 or 2 months and I use my time to focus on one class...

Keiser University for Undergrad and Med School Acceptance

Doing great now. It was challenging at the start, it finally killing it. I decided to attend SGU, and I am thinking to staying here or going to the UK after clinicals. All depends.

St. George's University Current, Honest Advice

Just an update. I have been in SGU since 2021, medical school was a kick in the ball. In my first term during the mid-COVID pandemic lost my Grandpa and best friend after my first exam, and had to go on Medical Leave. Started again, and I guess I was not ready or had the necessary study skills...

    Chapter 31 VR&E: Changes with the Appeal-Denial Process (2019)

I hope you guys have been successful in your appeal or still fighting. I am currently in the 4th yrs of my appeal, and I did hire Ben in 2018. He has been awesome and has done everything he can against the horrible, abusive, lazy VA Regional Office of Jacksonville, FL. Since starting this...

St. George's University Current, Honest Advice

Just finished my application. I am closing some loose end on my business. Like selling stocks, going silent partner, teaching my replacements, etc... just applied for January but hoping to push to April. Really don’t want to stay in the states for school, one of the reasons for the Caribbean...

St. George's University Current, Honest Advice

Love the business model. Just an update. Completed my application for January but probably requesting to push to April. Also, during the last two years established a successful Security Business and training facility in the states. I do agree with you, I prefer their business model than the US...

Approved for Voc Rehab but have questions

Can anyone send me a copy of their IWRP approved so I can use it on my appeal case? I am in the last months of fighting the whole system to get my IWRP change and approved for medical school or getting denied completely. The appeal board remanded my case, but the same counselors are making it...

What are my chances at St. George's and Ross?

Amen! So funny to read all the threads. The more I think about it, the more I like the idea of been "deploy" to Grenada for two years, and not having to deal with anything else but school. A lot of Pros and Cons but people in SDN are so dramatic about it. At the end of the day is up to you (us)...

Acceptance rescinded due to dismissed misdemeanor charge?

This is exactly what happened to me almost 20 years ago, and I just learned that VA has it as a misdemeanor in my record. I have gone through so many background checks and top secret clearances and always wrote NO. Now that I know I will be honest in my AMCAS app. Quick to the point and what I...
