Yeah we finally got our salary increase Dec 2022 which was just over 7%. That plus the 4.1 and 4.6% raises and me getting another step gave me about 26,700 in pay raise in <14 months or close to 20%. Unfortunately, I’m now a step 8 so I don’t have many future step increases to get. I’m thinking...
We are still awaiting our salary survey been like a year…did you verify you got 4.6%? Locally we have always only gotten the across the board raise (this year 4.1%) and never the locality portion since we are special pay and don’t actually get locality pay. I’ve verified this with math every...
I have several close friends that have it. One is a regional director in sales and takes off quite a bit. Another is accountant manager and doesn’t take off at all during busy season. However, will take off typically 1-2 random weeks outside of busy season (one being end of this month going on...
Not sure on the golfing. Unlimited pto is a scam if you have bad management or workplace is doing it for said reason you stated. I have several friends that take off whenever they want as long as Job is done. Probably 4-6 week long vacations and a day a week most weeks.

We get 2 steps for bcps first time, one for each additional. Think 5 max steps? We get one for publication. We get 1 for cde or bc adm. however, va in our visn don’t that are in more desirable locations.
This may not last forever as the head of the local va is the final person to sign off. But...
yes it would affect you more since large disparity in income, if similar incomes typically a wash now since married filing separately is identical to single tax chart in beginning (in past it wasn’t)
That is how previous stimulus bills worked. Not sure if they fixed thst loophole or not. Also with trump tax reform marriage penalty filing together or separate non existent sub 400k income except for a few tax deductions (student loan interest etc)
To be fair I’m fairly certain they are getting richer due to their stocks skyrocketing. Which isn’t the same as paying their workers more. Although if you dug into the math I’m sure they could pay more.
but let’s look at Walmart. They have made between 10-15 billion net profit last few years...
