Hello! I am recruiting mental health therapists (including Clinical Psychologists, Counseling Psychologists, Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists, and Professional Counselors), to complete a brief survey to better understand what types of multicultural information therapists attend to...
There should be a glossary for some of these terms, that's pretty ambiguous. My guess is it means an informal/non-structured interview with several staff members? Maybe with multiple applicants, too? (My fantasy is it means the interviewers are Monty Python-style knights).
That's very true on all counts--well said!
Just to clarify, my intent (and apologies if it didn't come across like this) was to point out that just because someone has had a lot of success in one area, and one where there is generally (though not always) less competition does not immediately...
Congrats! Are you going in person rather than Skyping for MSU? Maybe I'll see you there!
Western Carolina University is my last one. I agree, the multicultural training opportunities and the location make it really unique! I was super surprised that so few people applied there the past couple...
Returned from my first interview to find a whole lot a thread**** has been flung about... [Eric Cartman, narrating his internet presence voice] Frowny face. [/Eric Cartman]
I applied to 15 sites, all UCCs, and took zero issue with affectiveh3art's post. Don't think anyone else read it as some...

Aaargh! As all 15 of my sites are UCCs, now I hate this (hopefully entirely hypothetical) practice from the perspective of someone who may be impacted by it personally rather than just on principle.
I haven't heard anything either way yet, either.
At first I figured the reason might be that they needed a bit of time to put the invite letter together, get the online scheduler up and running, what have you, so I was feeling cautiously optimistic...but now I'm starting to think they're still...

I'm waiting on both of the OSUs as well. Ohio State University sent out an 'application received' confirmation a while back with their notification and interview information, but other than that, I've heard nothing.
According to Duke CAPS's stats from the past three years, they've extended invites to 40 applicants each cycle...so I dunno...maybe it is as straightforward as a lack of a rejection indicating an invite?
In any event, my condolences to those who have already received a rejection, as well as to...
Same here. Not sure if it means invites are forthcoming or if it means we've been placed in some weird alternate applicant limbo. If the refresh button thought I was hitting it a bunch before, it hasn't seen anything yet...
I hear ya...I applied to all UCCs, several of which have notification dates of 12/18, and one that's like, the 21st or 22nd?! Still waiting to hear back from 10 myself, all but 2 of which notified last year right on 12/15 or the day before. I'm not going to have any fingernails left by the end...
