    General Cardiology Boards 2023

It seem like you coded more than i did. I only code what I am >90% sure is the correct diagnosis and related to the stem. Usually skip over atrial size bc i thought it would not be accurate to size atrium based on one bad picture and “guess” lvef by “eyeballing”. I only scored slightly above the...

    Nuclear Board 2023

I also just sit for this exam and pass comfortably I did the ascn video (agree that some videos are overkills , especially when they goes over specific studies. I usually just skip to the main points/concept), ascn practice test, and jaber question books I will add that jaber seldomly has some...

A new board and not a money grab? I think these things are mutually exclusive 😂

    General Cardiology Boards 2023

Overall impression Ekg was the easier portion of the test, maybe bc lots of resource to practice like ecgsource and okeef. The echo and cath portion there weren’t many resource on how to code for these, def missed a bunch of point from coding incorrectly…

    Cardiology boards 2022

For the ecg portion how am I supposed to be coding, ecgsource way or okeef. Bc okeef want me to code posterior stemi, t waves change for ischemia, lafb a lot while if I do ecg source then that is -1

    Cardiac CT Board Exam Preparation

I also took the exam and thought the same thing, big focus on physics, imaging acquisition, protocol. The exam felt a lot easier than echo board

    Board Exams worth it ??

As a person who is taking all 4 of those boards, My opinion is that echo and nuc are standard training with all fellowship, so I think echo and nuc board are pretty redundant. However if you think you might possibly gonna run a non invasive lab then I think you need to get them. Ct and...

    PGY-4 considering leaving cardiology fellowship

For patient management and noninvasive studies, you can learn from reading and generally just doing your job. Don’t expect handholding like IM. Most cardiology people are busy and have different mentality compared to IM. They are not as risk aversive so it’ll seem like you are not supervised. In...

    Best Echo Book?

I have the Otto book (the small one) and also the Washington echo manual but rarely used them. Lots of time during echo rotation i find it faster to just google whatever I don’t understand or need a picture/video examples. So yeah, Mayo video and Klein would get you 90-95% of all you need

    Cardiac ct board prep

Hello I’m currently applying for cardiac ct board exam this year. I have the 2021 acct board review course and an old board review book (500 questions from dr Garcia and Dr shen) . Is this sufficient or would I need to drop 650 bucks for the scct board review book (which is quite expensive...

    PGY-4 considering leaving cardiology fellowship

Personally if you like cardiology enough I would stick it out. You just started fellowship, lots of your co-fellows are likely burn out and people like to complain ( I know I do, it’s pretty therapeutic). If your program is shutdown they most likely will find you another spot somewhere else...
