Because med schools job is to teach you the basics of being a doctor. That's more than enough to be getting on with.
They also don't teach you billing/coding, politics of medicine, practice laws, malpractice cases, or any of a number of things that physicians in the real world deal with...

Not a lawyer, FP for 14 years. None of my noncompetes or my wife's (IM) have been onerous at all, but maybe we're just lucky.
The bold is the important part. Some states don't allow non-competes at all. Some allow them but are easy to get thrown out if too restrictive. Some states allow them pretty much no matter how restrictive they are.

That said I don't really want to have to do this twice as often (since cost isn't an issue with the quarterly questions).
Nah, I've said many times that FM has the best job market in the country. I can put my finger randomly in any part of the continental US and find a FM job within 15 miles (maybe 30 in the larger midwest states) without even trying that hard.
