Man, I find it hard to believe students are still choosing to go into pharmacy....

I was a PIC at CVS until recently. Fought this issue for years. Worked many extra hours before and after 12 hour shifts to ensure patient safety, regulatory compliance, and my peace of mind. Finally decided it was untenable and adversely affecting my physical and mental health. I resigned. Still...

I'm a PIC at CVS and I find it incomprehensible that people are still going into Pharmacy schools. Do they not work in pharmacies? Do they not talk to people that do? I try to help whoever I can by advising them to choose a different profession. Don't make my mistake.

Hopefully you have changed course by now?

Don't feel stuck - I left PIC for $14/hr non-pharmacy job and I am so much happier - poorer, but happier!

Graduated 7 years ago. Just left field for a $14/hr job and am 1000x happier. Will never pay off student loans, but wont kill myself either so there's that

There is only one reason they developed this system- once it does start reducing the number of calls, tech hours will be cut more.....

Alabama here. 13 hour shifts. Never had lunch break. Told to eat while we work.

If I could help 1 person not make the same mistake I did, I would be happy. I am considering going back to teaching high school science and just defaulting on my loans.

I can't believe there are still people in pre-pharmacy. I loved the profession but it is now a dead-end. Wish I had chosen differently. Advice of experience- take it or don't.

If you are in pharmacy school, you need to RUN some other direction. Just trying to give advice so you don't make same mistake I did 7 years ago

Bad - you might get into pharmacy school Good - you might not and will be forced to pick a different non-dying profession

Run away from both and pick a different major
