Half Life Easy Way to solve

So Idk if anyone else figured this out but if you take the half life equation and split it up it becomes a lot easier to solve.

Taking the equation N(t)=No1/2^T/t1/2 you can do this:

No/N(t)=x, 2^n =x, and finally n=T/t1/2 when the problem gives all variables except one it really just a matter of plugging the math in.

For example C14 say you have made 18,000 years ago and you have 1000 left with a half life of 6000 years and you want to find the original amount. Plugging into the equation you have. 18000/6000=3, then take 2^3=8 the amount you originally had is found by taking 1000x8=8000.
